Wow!!! Something to look forward too once I get done with this hobbling routine. Back in April, I submitted registration to run the Marathon des Sables. It's been a few months since I have heard anything. I accidentally signed up on the UK site versus under the US which I didn't know was possible. So I was getting emails from both and really couldn't figure out whether I was in the race or not. I got official noticed saying my first payment was due so I guess that means I'm in!
I'm pretty excited about this race. I first read about this race when I was 12 or 13 (maybe older in a magazine. It featured a story about a runner who got lost on the course and ended up having to survive for a couple of days before he was found. The story and the race has stuck in my head ever since.
So much is going through my head right now. There is definitely a lot to figure out in the next couple of months!!!!
